The topic of the mistreatment of women was evident to all of
us when we read this novel. I liked how you incorporated the difference between
generations and how in this Beat Generation the men really did not care about
women and saw them as nothing more than pets they had to take care of, feed,
house, and try to keep happy. Dean was obviously the biggest ass when it came
to the treatment of women and broke hearts all over the country, with Sal right
behind him becoming something near to his disciple.
