Comment to Anike

My topic has to do with the idea of time and how it is significant in the novel. I go on to talk about how the idea of madness and racing through time coincide with each other within the novel. To specify, I describe how Sal hitches a ride from a stranger who has had his foot amputated and is flooring on the highway weaving in and out of lanes. Sal sees the danger by, with the madness that allows him to forget time and of its existence, he does nothing to get the stranger to slow down. I believe that if you could somehow relate the madness that is found inside Sal and the fact that he slowly becomes more irresponsible, I believe your term paper will make for an ever more amazing read.
