February 2nd Post

Sal begins to go through a bout of depression, as he feels unwanted by both his friends and family. He now seems to crave the simpler things that he use to have when the book began joy and an uncomplicated life. He watches children and immigrates and he wishes that he could have their joy. Sal come to a new point in his life where he realizes that his wander and life “on the road” is lonely and somewhat unrewarding. This is a new development because before he had this strange delusion that his life was not prefect but pretty amusing. He was intrigued by a world filled with mad friend with strange habits that he found intriguing.

Sal as usual, cannot stay retrospective for long and again seek out dean. Dean again remains in an emotionally abusive relationship with Marylou. Marylou is sleeping around with other men and is even married to a used car dealer. Dean refusing to get over her completes killing himself or her to feel some sort of satisfaction over the matter. Obviously, this is completely in Dean character to think about these sorts of thing, yet never act of them. Dean as revenge get back with his wife/baby mama Camille. Dean loves his daughter, but is unworried about leaving her or being apart of her life in any facet.  Which again displays dean incapability to be responsible or think about anyone else’s wellbeing. Camille understandably kicks Dean out of the house when she discovers how distraught he is about Marylou. Marylou in his manner is the first female character in the entire novel that shows any type of strength against men. Although his relationship that Dean has with Camille displays his trend of being in unstable relationship.
